GENEVA, N.Y. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is excited to announce the release schedule for the 2023 Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Polls for all three NCAA divisions.
All polls will be released on Tuesdays during the 2023 fall season and will follow the schedules outlined below for each division.
The format of each Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the NCAA Field Hockey Championships. Voting members are asked to consider overall 2023 record, strength of schedule, results against common opponents, and head-to-head competition when making their weekly selections. New this year, eligible teams must have a .500 or above record to be ranked each week, teams are not permitted to vote for their own programs, the voting window opens on Sunday evenings, and the number of teams ranked has been changed to better reflect the proportion of programs for that division

Division I National Coaches Poll Schedule
New this year, the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll will feature a top top-20 format. The preseason poll will be released on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 with voting to take place the full week prior. The final poll will be released on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 following scheduled conference championships.
The voting portal will be open to Division I head coach members on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. ET to Monday 11:59 p.m. ET. Division I members will receive a reminder email and voting instructions each week.
The NFHCA will release the weekly ranking no later than 3:00 p.m. ET on Tuesdays.

The final poll will be released on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 following scheduled conference championships.
The voting portal will be open to Division III head coach members from Sunday at 5:00 p.m. ET to Tuesday 10:00 a.m. ET. Division III members will receive a reminder email and voting instructions each week.
The NFHCA will release the weekly ranking no later than 3:00 p.m. ET on Tuesdays.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
