The NFHCA provides a variety of educational opportunities and resources for NFHCA members and the greater field hockey community.
Annual Convention
The NFHCA Annual Convention is the year’s premier event where members of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) gather to connect, learn, and celebrate exceptional achievements. Hundreds of field hockey coaches annually gather to connect through educational sessions, on-field clinics, social events, and award and recognition events.
Ready2Coach
NFHCA Ready2Coach Clinics provide field hockey coaching education, professional development, and networking opportunities for coaches at all levels.
Coaches Corner
NFHCA Coaches Corners provide virtual field hockey coaching education and professional development opportunities for coaches at all levels.
Campfire Mentoring Program
The NFHCA Campfire Mentoring Program brings coaches together virtually to share experiences, foster fellowship, and promote growth. Small groups of three to eight coach members are assembled with a lead mentor and participate in a structured virtual mentoring program from March – January annually.
Aspire Coaches Academy
The NFHCA Aspire Coaches Academy is dedicated to elevating and strengthening the field hockey coaching profession at the collegiate level. The comprehensive professional development program includes virtual workshops and interactive labs, supplemented by a minimum of one yearly in-person or hybrid session. These customized offerings are designed to sharpen coaches’ leadership goals, shape their coaching philosophies, and deepen their expertise in the sport. The Academy runs February through December each year.
Drill Library
The NFHCA’s Drill Library includes over 60 field hockey drills and three drill booklets for purchase (free for members). Drills are added every week during the playing season through the Drill of the Week program. Available drills cover a variety of topics and levels.
Field Templates
The NFHCA provides free field hockey pitch templates for anyone to download and print as a way to make creating your own drills, whether you’re a coach or an athlete, as easy as possible!
New Coach Toolkit
This resource is for brand-new coaches with basic or nonexistent experience in field hockey. The New Coach Toolkit contains curated videos, articles, and resources to help you get to know our great game!
NFHCARecruits & EventBeacon
The NFHCARecruits & EventBeacon platform allows college coaches to search a database of student-athlete profiles and videos, coupled with the on-site evaluation tool, EventBeacon App, where profiles flow directly into the system, providing coaches with comprehensive information and evaluation tools.
