Mann, Reiger named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Senior goalkeeper from Allegheny College, Hallie Reiger, and senior forward from No. 7 Kean University, Peyton Mann, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week

 

Hallie Reiger, Allegheny College, Sr., Goalkeeper (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)

  • Led Allegheny to a 1-0 shutout and first ever victory vs Ohio Wesleyan University despite being outshot 13-4
  • Made four saves during three quarters of play in the 4-1 victory vs Concordia University Wisconsin
  • The win over Concordia tied a program single season win record (8-1)
  • Holds a 0.87 goals against average and .833 save percentage
  • Reiger ranks in the top twenty nationally in both goals-against average and save percentage
  • Named NCAC Athlete of the Week

NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week

 

Peyton Mann, No. 7 Kean University, Sr., Forward (Nazareth, Pennsylvania)

  • Tallied 18 points on eight goals and two assists during the 3-0 week for Kean
  • Scored four goals in the 4-0 victory vs St. Joseph’s College of Maine to tie a program single-game goals record
  • Scored three goals in the 5-2 victory vs DeSales University
  • Scored one goal and dished out two assists in the 6-0 victory vs Thomas College
  • Ranks second in the NJAC in both points (23) and goals scored (10)
  • Named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
