Brady, Miller named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Junior goalkeeper from No. 18 University of Lynchburg, Kayla Brady, and sophomore forward from Bryn Mawr College, Hazel Miller, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively. The performance of Bryn Mawr College’s senior goalkeeper, Maggie Titus, merited an honorable mention.

NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week

 

Kayla Brady, No. 18 University of Lynchburg, Jr., Goalkeeper (Milsboro, Delaware)

  • Made 21 saves and posted a .913 save percentage in a 3-0 week for Lynchburg
  • Made a career-high 16 saves in the 2-0 victory vs then-No. 3 Johns Hopkins University
  • This marks the first time an opponent shut out Hopkins in nearly four seasons
  • Made three saves in the 2-1 victory vs Stevenson University and two saves in the 2-1 victory vs Dickinson College
  • Ranks first in the ODAC for minutes played, second in saves (44), and second in save percentage (.830)
  • Named ODAC Player of the Week

NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week

 

Hazel Miller, Bryn Mawr College, So., Midfielder (Newport, Pennsylvania)

  • Tallied two goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for the Owls
  • Scored the game’s second goal and assisted on the game-winner in the 3-2 win vs then-No.18 Christopher Newport University
  • This marks Bryn Mawr’s first victory against a nationally ranked team
  • Assisted in the 2-0 victory vs Delaware Valley University
  • Scored the game-winner in the 3-1 victory vs University of Mary Washington
  • Tied atop the Centennial Conference in goals (4) and points (11)
  • Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week

Maggie Titus, Bryn Mawr College, Sr., Goalkeeper (Mansfield, New Jersey)

  • Tallied 27 saves and posted a .900 save percentage in a 3-0 week for Bryn Mawr
  • Made 17 saves, the second-most of her career, in the 3-2 victory vs then-No. 18 Christopher Newport University
  • This marks Bryn Mawr’s first victory against a nationally ranked team
  • Made nine saves in the 3-1 victory vs University of Mary Washington
  • Earned a 2-0 shutout win vs Delaware Valley University
  • Finished the weekend with 31 career wins, the fourth-most wins of any active goalkeeper in Division III
  • Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week
