Wollerton named NFHCA October Scholastic Player of the Month

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Rylie Wollerton, a 2022 student-athlete from Pine Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania has been named the October Scholastic Player of the Month. The Rams went 8-0 in October with Wollerton putting away 30 goals, including six game-winners, and five assists.

Wollerton scored at least one goal in every one of the Pine Richland’s October games. She scored three hat-tricks, two double hat-tricks, and the remaining three games she scored two goals per game. She had the game-winning goal in six of those games, including the section semifinal and district championship. Her performance on and off the ball helped Pine Richland win the District Championship for the third year in a row.

Honorable Mention

Jane McNally, a 2022 goalkeeper from Mamaroneck High School in Larchmont, New York, recorded 10 shutouts in 11 games in October with a save percentage of 97.43. Her performance against top-ranked teams in postseason helped Mamaroneck win the Section 1, Class A Championship, earning them a place in the Regional Championship.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
