COLORADO SPRINGS, CO —The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has named High Styx forward and 2030 graduate Sam Bus as the NFHCA Club Player of the Month following a standout performance. The NFHCA Player of the Month is sponsored by Wrappit Wrappit.
Sam competed in the Remix Indoor League, an innovative, player-led experience organized by High Styx and open to athletes from across six different clubs. Designed to challenge players in a new way, the league brings individuals together from different programs and places them on mixed teams. With little coaching and limited outside instruction, athletes are asked to lead, communicate, and problem-solve in real time.
Across multiple weeks of competition, Sam rose to that challenge.
Sam led the team to a 6–0 undefeated season and a Remix League Championship, finishing with 22 goals, 8 assists, and 3 defensive saves. The impact extended beyond the stat sheet. Consistent communication, decision-making, and presence on the field helped guide a newly formed group into a cohesive and confident unit.
At the conclusion of the month, Sam was named to the Remix Leadership Team, an honor voted on by umpires to recognize players who demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout the league. Congratulations to Sam for earning the March 2026 NFHCA Club Player of the Month honors.
