BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Maria Papas, a 2022 midfielder from Justice High School in Falls Church, Virginia, scored 12 goals and assisted on 8 others to earn the distinction of March’s Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Scholastic Player of the Month.

Papas accrued 32 points across nine games in the month of March — she also recorded one defensive save. She is the leading scorer for Justice High School, a team that went 8-1 last month. Four of their nine games took the Wolves to overtime, where Papas either scored or assisted in the game winner.

On March 29, Justice captured its first conference championship in 49 years on a game-winning, overtime reverse-chip goal from Papas.
