BROCKPORT, N.Y. — After several months of dedicated committee work and Board of Director approval, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association revealed a new strategic plan. The new three-year plan includes an updated mission for the association and has added a guiding vision and core values. As noted in the eight-page document, the plan is the result of several years of member feedback collection and diligent work by an ad hoc Strategic Planning Committee that was assembled in February of this year. Also embedded in the plan are key goals that the association will strive toward over the next three years as well as key objectives to reinforce the stated goals.

“Gathering and synthesizing the collective feedback of our members to arrive at this three-year plan has been invigorating,” said NFHCA executive director, Cate Clark. “Our vision and updated mission emphasize the important role the NFHCA plays in the ecosystem of our sport. Fueled by a strong community, we are poised to continue building on our legacy and set the direction for our future as a coaches association. I am grateful for the Strategic Planning Committee and Board of Director contributions throughout this process.”

“We’re excited to roll out a strategic plan that is the result of hundreds of volunteer hours by the Strategic Planning Committee, extensive feedback from the membership, and superb work by the NFHCA staff,” remarked NFHCA president, Anne Parmenter. “This community-driven effort delivers a strategic plan that has measurable goals and a clear path for the future of the association — the result is something that our coaching membership can be proud of.”

The NFHCA strategic plan will remain publicly available on the association’s website throughout the life of the plan. Throughout the three-year plan, the NFHCA staff and Board of Directors will continue to engage members to gather feedback and and refine strategies, as needed.
