NFHCA reveals distinguished 2023 Division I National Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The NFHCA proudly extends its commendation to over 1,000 exceptional undergraduate student-athletes hailing from more than 80 esteemed institutions, each earning a distinguished place on the 2023 Division I National Academic Squad.

Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program exalts the academic brilliance of undergraduate collegiate student-athletes. This prestigious acknowledgment is reserved for individuals who have achieved an outstanding cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, nominated by their devoted NFHCA member coaches.

Standing out among the remarkable institutions, the University of Louisville secured the highest number of National Academic Squad selections this year, boasting an impressive count of 22 student-athletes on the illustrious list. The Ohio State University and Dartmouth College each secured 21 placements, further exemplifying their commitment to academic excellence.

Notably, 181 of these student-athletes received this distinguished honor for the fourth consecutive year.

The 2023 honorees are meticulously presented in alphabetical order by school and then by last name below. The table is thoughtfully designed for easy reference, allowing for both searchability and filterability.

Three prestigious Division I academic awards are yet to be unveiled  — the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 19, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 26.

Individualized digital certificates will be generated following the February 29 deadline for any spelling corrections. Email any spelling spelling or name corrections to awards@nfhca.org no later than February 29. Any corrections made after that cannot be modified.
