The Redwood Grant
The Redwood Grant is an annual investment in field hockey coaches who are building something meaningful. Inspired by the interconnected strength of redwood trees, this initiative supports ambitious coach entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship, and community to create sustainable impact that extends beyond a single season. Powered entirely by the generosity of the field hockey community, the Redwood Grant prioritizes ideas that expand access, strengthen local ecosystems, and build lasting infrastructure for the sport.

Who Should Apply
The NFHCA is seeking applicants with a strong idea and the drive to build something meaningful and sustainable. This may include growing a field hockey business, advancing an initiative that needs structure and support, or launching a concept that strengthens the game within a community.
Priority is given to ideas that create lasting impact by expanding access, building infrastructure, and increasing opportunity across the sport. Special consideration is given to applicants in emerging growth areas and those serving underrepresented identities or regions. The Redwood Grant is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Connecting with trailblazers in this space has been the most meaningful part of the experience. The ability to learn from and share ideas with others who are doing similar work continues to influence how we grow and shape our program.
