McEvoy, Scott named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Senior defender from No. 6 Johns Hopkins University, Anna Scott, and senior midfielder from The Catholic University of America, Molly McEvoy, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

Anna Scott, No. 6 Johns Hopkins University, Sr., Defender (Ann Arbor, Michigan)
- Anchored the Blue Jay defense in a pair of shutout conference wins
- Held Gettysburg College to four shots, just two on goal, and zero corners in the 5-0 victory
- Registered a defensive save in the 4-0 victory vs Ursinus College
- The defensive save came when it was a one-goal game late in the second quarter
- Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Molly McEvoy, The Catholic University of America, Sr., Midfielder (Berwyn, Pennsylvania)
- Led Catholic to a 2-0 week
- Scored a first-half hat trick in the 4-2 win vs University of Mary Washington
- Buried the overtime goal in the 3-2 overtime victory vs Juniata College
- Named Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game.
