Malloy, Peeters named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — First-year goalkeeper from Southern New Hampshire University, Emma Peeters, and senior forward from No. 7 Saint Anselm College, Maggie Malloy, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Emma Peeters, Southern New Hampshire University, Fr., Goalkeeper (Wageningen, The Netherlands)

  • Led Southern New Hampshire to a Northeast-10 Championship playoff berth after a 2-0 week
  • Made nine saves in the 3-2 overtime conference win vs American International College
  • Made three saves in the 2-0 conference win vs Molly College to record her second shutout of the season
  • Named NE10 Goaltender and NE10 Rookie of the Week

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week​

 

Maggie Malloy, No. 7 Saint Anselm College, Sr., Forward (Canton, Massachusetts)

  • Scored five goals during the week to lead the Hawks to a perfect 3-0 record
  • Recorded her fourth hat trick of the year vs Southern Connecticut State to set a single-season program scoring record
  • Scored both goals in the 3-0 victory vs University of New Haven to produce a program-record 44 points this season via 19 goals and six assists
  • At the conclusion of last week, Malloy ranked third in the NCAA in goals per game (1.06) and fourth in points per game (2.44)
  • Helped the Hawks secure the No. 1 seed in the NE10 postseason tournament
  • Named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
