Lahr, Bright named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Graduate forward from Marywood University, Cydney Lahr, and sophomore goalkeeper from Simmons University, Haley Bright, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Senior defender from Franklin & Marshall College, Annie Malatesta, also earned a nod for Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention.

NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week
Haley Bright, Simmons University, So., Goalkeeper (Norfolk, Massachusetts)
- Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week.
- Collected seven saves in a 2-0 shutout victory over Thomas College.
- Leads conference in goals against average (0.44), and save percentage (.882).
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Cydney Lahr, Marywood University, Gr., Forward (Herndon, Pennsylvania)
- Named Atlantic East Offensive Player of the Week, her third-consecutive nod.
- Became the third student-athlete in Marywood history to reach the 100 Point Club with six goals in two games.
- Scored twice in the Pacers’ 8-0 shutout of SUNY Morrisville, and found the back of the cage four times in a 5-4 victory over DeSales.
NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention
Annie Malatesta, Franklin & Marshall College, Sr., Defender (Wilmington, Delaware)
- Had a game-saving defensive save in the third quarter of the win vs. No. 10 Bryn Mawr.
- Played a key role on offense with the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over the Owls.
