Koprivova, Davis named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

MANAHAWKIN, NJ  — Senior goalkeeper from Limestone University, Tereza Koprivova, and senior forward from No. 4 Saint Anselm College, Maddie Davis, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Freshman goalkeeper from No. 10 Pace University, Celeste Pagliaroli, and Junior forward from No. 3 West Chester University, Jasmine Miller, also received honorable mentions nods for Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively, as well.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Tereza Koprivova, Limestone University, Sr., Goalkeeper (Olesna, Czech Republic)

  • Tallied a total of 10 saves while posting a 0.66 goals against average on the week to secure a 3-0 week for the Saints.
  • Posted a shutout as Limestone defeated Converse 1-0 in the overtime thriller.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

 

Maddie Davis, No. 4 Saint Anselm College, Sr., Forward (Exeter, New Hampshire)

  • Tallied four goals on the week, her first four of the season, lifting the Hawks to a pair of victories over NE10 opponents.
  • In the team’s 5-2 victory at St. Michael’s, converted three of her four shots on target into goals, including the game-winner in the 32nd minute. Davis scored the game’s first two goals in the first five and a half minutes.
  • Then, in the Hawks’ NE10 opener on the road against Adelphi, she came in off the bench to break the scoreless tie in the 21st minute. The Hawks would go on to score two goals in the game’s final two minutes to secure the 3-1 win.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Celeste Pagliaroli, No. 10 Pace University Fr., Goalkeeper (Yorktown Heights, New York)

  • Pagliaroli was the anchor in both the Setters’ wins this week, including an overtime win over No.1 and defending national champion, East Stroudsburg.
  • She made 14 saves in the upset victory, while recording 19 saves in the 2-0 week and a .792 save percentage.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention

 

Jasmine Miller, No. 3 West Chester University, Jr., Forward (Millersville, Pennsylvania)

  • Miller leads the PSAC in goals (8), points (16) and goals per game (1.6). Her hat-trick against No. 6 Mansfield, including the overtime winner, led her team to the 4-3 victory.
  • She added a goal in West Chester’s 2-1 win over Adelphi, which was ranked No. 8 in the NFHCA Division II Preseason Poll.
