BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Genevieve Huston, a 2026 forward/midfielder from WNY Field Hockey Club, and Zoe Schaffer, a 2022 forward from Lonestar Field hockey Club, have been named the January Scholastic Players of the Month.

Huston amassed 93 offensive points on 35 goals and 23 assists across 18 indoor games during the month of January. She also registered two defensive saves. Huston plays on several teams for WNY — she helped the U16 team to a second-place finish at the Lewisburg National Indoor Tournament Qualifier and was integral to keeping her team undefeated throughout the WNY Indoor League.

Schaffer scored five goals and two assists for 12 offensive points across six outdoor games last month. The forward from Lonestar Field Hockey Club came in clutch during the Disney Sunshine Showcase, scoring four game-winning goals — including two shootout goals — in the six-game tournament.
