Hite, Lehenky NFHCA DII Field Hockey Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO  — Isabella Hite, a senior forward from Belmont Abbey College, and Lorelai Lehenky, a junior goalkeeper from Kutztown University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Ellie Myers, a junior forward from Kutztown University, also received an honorable mention nod for Offensive Player of the Week. The NFHCA Player of the Week program is sponsored by Wrappit Wrappit.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

Isabella Hite, Belmont Abbey College, Senior, Forward (Pittsburgh, PA)​

• Recorded a first hat trick in Belmont Abbey’s 4-0 road win at Coker.
• Scored twice in the opening quarter, including the game-winning goal just over eight minutes into the game.
• Completed the hat trick with a third-quarter penalty stroke as the Crusaders earned their first win of the season.
• Earned SAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

Lorelai Lehenky, Kutztown University, Junior, Goalkeeper (Coatesville, PA)

• Anchored Kutztown’s 1-0 shutout of then-No. 1 Shippensburg, making three saves—including two on fourth-quarter penalty corners.
• Helped the Golden Bears record a 5-0 road shutout against Mansfield.
• Extended a season-opening scoreless streak to seven games without allowing a goal.
• Earned PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

NFHCA Division II Honorable Mention

Offensive: Ellie Myers, Kutztown University, Junior, Forward (Denver, PA)​

• Scored the game-winning goal in Kutztown’s 1-0 victory over then-No. 1 Shippensburg and another in the Golden Bears’ win at Mansfield.
• Earned PSAC Athlete of the Week honors.
