Harsh, Parker named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Freshman goalkeeper from Belmont Abbey College, Chloe Parker, and junior forward from No. 6 Millersville University, Bri Harsh, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Chloe Parker, Belmont Abbey College, Fr., Goalkeeper (Virginia Beach, Virginia)

  • Allowed just one goal in 180 minutes of action against Converse College, Mercyhurst University, and Slippery Rock University last week
  • Registered 18 saves across three games for the Crusaders
  • Secured a shutout against Mercyhurst University on Friday and another against Slippery Rock on Saturday
  • Has already tied the school season record for shutouts

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

 

Bri Harsh, No. 6 Millersville University, Jr., Forward (Lancaster, Pennsylvania)

  • Led Millersville to a 3-0 week, scoring at least one point in each game
  • Netted three goals and two assists for eight points last week
  • Scored twice and assisted once against Frostburg State
  • Scored the game-winning goal in the double-overtime win against Limestone University
  • Assisted on the game-winner Sunday against Converse
  • Currently leads Millersville with six goals
  • Named PSAC Athlete of the Week

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
