Garibaldi, Gula named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Sophomore goalkeeper from No. 1 West Chester University, Megan Gula, and first-year midfielder from No. 2 Shippensburg University, Agus Garibaldi, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Megan Gula, No. 1 West Chester University, So., Goalkeeper (Lincoln University, Pennsylvania)

  • Registered a pair of shutouts to lead West Chester to a 2-0 week and a 4-0 start to the season
  • Made three saves and earned her first shutout of the season in a 6-0 victory over the University of Mount Olive
  • Recorded two saves in the 8-0 decision over then-No. 10 University of New Haven
  • Has not been scored on in 1121:19 minutes
  • Named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week​

 

Agus Garibaldi, No. 2 Shippensburg University, Fr., Midfielder (Recoleta, Argentina)

  • Tallied four goals and three assists in two games
  • Currently holds a .666 shooting percentage
  • Scored her first career hat trick and assisted the first and third goal in the 5-2 victory vs Newberry College
  • Scored a goal and assisted on the third goal in the 4-1 decision over the University of Mount Olive
  • Ranks second in the country in points per game (4.33)
  • Named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week
