Dusman, Geaglone named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Graduate student forward/midfielder from No. 4 Kutztown University, Rachel Dusman, and graduate student midfielder/defender from University of New Haven, Taylor Geaglone, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Taylor Geaglone, University of New Haven, Gr., Midfielder/Defender (Enfield, Connecticut)

  • Led the University of New Haven to a perfect 2-0 week while surrendering just one goal
  • Anchored the Chargers back line in the 2-1 overtime win vs No. 7 Assumption University
  • Prevented Molloy University from registering a single shot during the 6-0 victory
  • Named NE10 Defensive Player of the Week

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week​

 

Rachel Dusman, No. 4 Kutztown University, Gr., Forward/Midfielder (Chambersburg, Pennsylvania)

  • Scored four goals and an assist in the 2-0 week for Kutztown
  • Scored a goal and an assist in the 4-1 upset over No. 2 Shippensburg University
  • Eclipsed the 100-point career mark during the victory
  • Recorded her second hat trick of the season in the 11-0 victory vs Neumann University
  • Leads the PSAC in points this season with 30 and ranks second in goals scored with 12
  • Named PSAC Athlete of the Week

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
