Kendyl Underwood, Saint Louis University, Fr., Goalkeeper (Glenn Dale, Maryland)

Underwood was the starting goalkeeper for three Billiken shutouts last week, stopping all six shots that she faced. Last Tuesday, in Saint Louis University’s 5-0 win over Lindenwood University, the first-year goalkeeper posted two saves in her 52 minutes in the cage. Then in Saturday’s and Sunday’s contests against Bellarmine University, Underwood posted four more saves for an additional two shutouts.

Underwood was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Marlon de Bruijne, Old Dominion University, Fr., Forward (Den Bosch, Netherlands)

De Bruijne put on a highlight-reel-worthy offensive display last weekend for the Old Dominion Monarchs, posting seven goals across two games. On Friday against Villanova University, de Bruijne scored a hat-trick, pocketing two field goals and one goal off of a penalty corner. She outdid her Friday performance in Saturday’s game, also against Villanova, when she notched the first four goals — including a top-shelf reverse chip from the endline — in the eventual 7-0 win.

De Bruijne was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
