Bolton, MacGillivray named Play Safe/NFHCA Division I National Players of the Week

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Cam MacGillivray, redshirt-junior goalkeeper from Old Dominion University, and Jill Bolton, senior forward from Liberty University, have been named this week’s Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Cam MacGillivray, Old Dominion University, RJr., Goalkeeper (Calgary, Alberta)

MacGillivray made six saves and allowed only two goals over 140 minutes of action last weekend in two conference contests against Temple University. On Saturday, she stopped four shots — including two in overtime — to clinch the 3-2 shootout victory. On Sunday, MacGillivray made two saves in the 1-0 win to secure her first shutout of the season.

MacGillivray was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week

 

Jill Bolton, Liberty University, Sr., Forward (Souderton, Pennsylvania)

Last weekend Bolton scored three goals and assisted on four others for 10 offensive points in a 2-0 outing for Liberty University. On Saturday, Bolton set a career-high record with seven points on two goals and two assists in Liberty’s 7-1 win over Villanova University. She added to her attacking stats on Sunday with another goal and assist in the Flames’ second victory over the Wildcats.

Bolton was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
