Amanda Hendry, University of North Carolina, Sr., Goalkeeper (Wilton, Connecticut)

Hendry made eight saves to earn a shutout in the Tar Heels’ spring opener, a 2-0 win over the University of Louisville. The game was a rematch of November’s ACC Championship — Hendry tied her saves total from that game as the Cardinals again outshot UNC, getting off 16 shots, nine of them on goal. Hendry’s eight saves equaled her second-highest total of the season. The shutout was the fifth of the season for the Tar Heels, with Hendry earning the win in each one.

Hendry was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week — for the third time — on Tuesday. This is Hendry’s third Division I Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
