Betsy Butterick slotted to lead keynote presentation at 2024 NFHCA Annual Convention
MANAHAWKIN, NJ – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is pleased to announce that Betsy Butterick will lead a keynote presentation at the 2024 NFHCA Annual Convention. It will mark the third time she will serve as a featured speaker at the organization’s yearly gathering.
Butterick, known as the “The Coaches’ Coach” and a vaunted communication specialist, will present “Effectively Coaching Gen Z: Updates from the Field,” on January 10, 2024, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET.
The session builds on some of the unique challenges posed by Gen Z while exploring real-life scenarios from conversations with today’s student-athletes. Attendees will leave with immediately applicable tools to better communicate with, connect with, and effectively coach Gen Z. Butterick is also one of four contributors for the NFHCA Assistant & Associate Head Coach Workshop, scheduled for January 10, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. Registration is required to attend this workshop.
As a former coach with experience in Division I, Division II, Division III, and the WNBA, Butterick utilizes her unique background to help individuals who are ready to improve and teams of all kinds — from the locker room to the boardroom.
As a communication specialist, Butterick assists individuals in all facets of communication while developing the connective skills to build relationships and sustain success.
Professional, playful, and with a talent for people-centric design, Butterick offers an experiential approach toward learning and development. She has worked with esteemed collegiate programs at all divisions and varied sports including those in the Big Ten and ACC along with professional teams and Team USA.
2024 NFHCA Annual Convention
The 2024 NFHCA Annual Convention incorporates NFHCA business meetings, on-field educational sessions, a variety of speakers, the NFHCA Hall of Fame reception, and multiple opportunities for attendees to connect with their colleagues. The NFHCA Annual Convention is where coaches from all levels gather yearly to connect, learn, and grow.
The 20224 NFHCA Annual Convention will take place between January 10 — 12, 2024 at the Orlando Marriott Lake Mary in Lake Mary, Florida. NFHCA members can register online.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
