Aiello, Smith named Play Safe/NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Sophomore goalkeeper, Julianna Smith, and junior forward, Camrynn Aiello, both from Belmont Abbey College have been named this week’s Play Safe/NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Julianna Smith, Belmont Abbey College, So., Goalkeeper (Carmel, California)

In Belmont Abbey College’s first-ever win over conference rival, Queens University of Charlotte, Smith posted a .714 save percentage. She made five saves on 13 shots and allowed two goals.

Smith was named South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Camrynn Aiello, Belmont Abbey College, Jr., Forward (Centereach, New York)

Last week in Belmont Abbey College’s 4-2 win over Queens University of Charlotte, Aiello scored the opening goal and accounted for four of the Crusaders’ 12 shots.

Aiello was named South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
