Gonzalez, Cameron NFHCA DII Field Hockey Players of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Erin Gonzalez, a senior forward from Kutztown University, and Joelle Cameron, a senior goalkeeper from Saint Michael’s College, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Parker Keeler, a junior forward from Newberry College, and Maura Greek, a senior goalkeeper from Bloomsburg University, received honorable mention nods for Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Erin Gonzalez, Kutztown University, Senior, Forward (East Earl, PA)
- Led Kutztown to wins over then-No. 5 West Chester and Slippery Rock, tallying four goals and one assist across the two games.
- Reached the 100-point career milestone with the week’s offensive output.
- Honored as the PSAC Offensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Joelle Cameron, Saint Michael’s College, Senior, Goalkeeper (West Bridgewater, MA)
- Posted a .943 save percentage and 50 total saves across two games, including a 34-save shootout victory over Molloy.
- Broke the NCAA Division II single-season saves record (346) while averaging 25 saves per game on the week.
- Recognized as the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Honorable Mention
Offensive: Parker Keeler, Newberry College, Junior, Forward (Bridgeville, DE)
- Recorded four goals and three assists for 11 total points in road wins over Barton and Lincoln Memorial.
- Named the South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Defensive: Maura Greek, Bloomsburg University, Senior, Goalkeeper (Garnet Valley, PA)
- Recorded a nine-save shutout in a win over then-No. 2 Shippensburg and added eight stops in a double-overtime battle with then-No. 4 East Stroudsburg.
- Honored as the PSAC Defensive Player of the Week.
