Scott, Eastburn named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Junior forward from University of Mary Washington, Grayson Scott, and junior goalkeeper from No. 3 Tufts University, Lydia Eastburn, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Sam Lewis, a junior forward from No. 17 SUNY Geneseo, also received an honorable mention nod for Offensive Player of the Week.

NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week
Lydia Eastburn, No. 3 Tufts University, Jr., Goalkeeper (New Hope, Pennsylvania)
- Named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
- Stopped four of then-No. 3 Williams’ five attempts in the shootout during the NESCAC tournament semifinals for a 3-2 (2-1 shootout) Tufts win.
- Defended three of the Bobcats’ five attempts in a 1-0 (3-2 shootout) victory and the conference championship title.
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Grayson Scott, University of Mary Washington, Jr., Forward (King George, Virginia)
- Named CFHC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
- Tallied a goal in a 6-0 semifinal win over Centre.
- Netted a career-high four goals to lead Mary Washington to a 6-4 victory over Rhodes to take the conference title.
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention
Sam Lewis, No. 17, SUNY Geneseo, Jr., Midfielder (East Rochester, New York)
- Named the Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player.
- Recorded two goals and added two assists in leading No. 17 SUNY Geneseo to the Empire 8 Tournament Championship in the team’s first season as a conference member.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
