The NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll is voted on by designated NFHCA member coaches from each conference and has no bearing on selection to the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship.

Eligibility Criteria:
After two weeks of regular season competition, eligible teams must maintain a record of .500 or above to be eligible for ranking each week.

Since 1997, the NFHCA has been publishing the National Coaches Polls for each NCAA division. The polls are voted on by NFHCA collegiate members each week during the field hockey playing season. The format of the polls are decided on by each NFHCA member group.

The NFHCA recognizes that the weekly rankings are the association’s best attempt to compare the strengths and weaknesses of each NCAA division’s field hockey programs from across the nation. Eligible teams must have a .500 or above record to be ranked each week The rankings are a reflection of the best teams each week as reported by the designated voting members from each conference. This poll is in no way intended to be a reflection of who will be selected to the NCAA Championship Tournament.

  • Division I — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 20 teams in the nation each week. Each Division I conference has one NFHCA designated Coaches Poll Committee member coach submitting one vote weekly. The 2025 Preseason Poll will be released on August 26, followed by the first week’s poll released on September 9, 2025, after two weekends of regular season competition.  The last date of the 2025 Poll is November 11, 2025. The 2025 National Championship is scheduled for November 23, 2025.
  • Division II — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 10 teams in the nation each week. Each Division II conference has two NFHCA designated Coaches Poll Committee member coaches submitting one vote each, weekly.  The 2025 Preseason Poll will be released on September 2, followed by the first week’s poll released on September 16, 2025, after two weekends of regular season competition.  The last date of the 2025 Poll is November 11, 2025. The 2025 National Championship is scheduled for November 23, 2025.
  • Division III — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 25 teams in the nation each week. Each Division III conference has one NFHCA designated Coaches Poll Committee member coach submitting one vote weekly. The 2025 Preseason Poll will be released on August 26, followed by the first week’s poll released on September 9, 2025, after two weekends of regular season competition.  The last date of the 2025 Poll is November 11, 2025.  The 2025 National Championship is scheduled for November 23, 2025.
