MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is pleased to announce the 2024 Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Polls release schedule for all three NCAA divisions.
All polls will be released on Tuesdays during the 2024 fall season and will follow the schedules outlined below for each division. The schedules are based on the NCAA’s first permissible dates of competition and vary by division.
The format of each Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the NCAA Field Hockey Championships. Voting members are asked to consider the overall 2024 record, strength of schedule, results against common opponents, and head-to-head competition when making their weekly selections. With the voting window opening on Sunday evenings weekly, eligible teams must have a .500 or above record to be ranked and teams are not permitted to vote for their own programs.

Division I & Division III National Coaches Poll Schedule
The Division I and Division III preseason polls will be released on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with voting to take place the full week prior. The final polls will be released on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The regular-season voting portal will be open to head coach members weekly on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. ET to Mondays at 11:59 p.m. ET for Division I and close on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. ET for Division III. September 10 is the first regular-season poll release date, with the rankings released by noon ET.
Division II National Coaches Poll Schedule
The Division II preseason poll will be released on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, with voting to take place the full week prior. The final polls will be released on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The regular-season voting portal will be open to head coach members weekly on Sundays from 4:00 p.m. ET to Mondays at 11:59 p.m. ET and the NFHCA will release the weekly ranking by noon ET on Tuesdays. September 17 is the first regular-season Division II poll release date based on the 2024 Division II competition schedule.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
