NFHCA announces 2020 Division II Scholars of Distinction

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — This year, more than 140 student-athletes have been recognized as NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.

Slippery Rock University placed the most student-athletes on the Scholars of Distinction list this year, with 12 honorees.

The complete listing of the 2020 NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction can be found below — honorees are listed alphabetically first by institution, then according to their last name.

The NFHCA has already announced the 2020 NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad and the final 2020 NFHCA Division II Academic Award, the NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Award, will be announced on March 29.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
