GENEVA, N.Y. — Lila Merlin, a 2028 forward from Aim Field Hockey in Missouri, had a competitive July, competing in both the U14 Junior Nexus Championship and AAU Junior Olympics. During the U14 Junior Nexus Championship, Merlin stood out by scoring six goals, contributing significantly to her team’s second-place finish and an overall 3-2 record. In the AAU Junior Olympics, Merlin’s team secured first-place with an impressive 6-0 record, during which Merlin also netted two goals.

Noteworthy is the fact that Merlin’s exceptional performances led to her selection for the U16 Junior Women’s National Team Selection Camp, even though she remains a U14 athlete until the winter of 2024. These achievements have rightly earned Merlin the distinction of being named the NFHCA Club Player of the Month for July.
