Higgins, Maresca NFHCA DIII Field Hockey Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Kiki Higgins, a senior forward from Williams College, and Daniella Maresca, a sophomore goalkeeper from Kean University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Caitlin Hoover, a junior forward from Franklin & Marshall College, and Alyssa Schlossman, a junior goalkeeper from DeSales University, also received honorable mention nods for Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Kiki Higgins, Williams College, Senior, Forward (Weston, MA)
- Tallied four goals and two assists to lead Williams to two NESCAC wins, highlighted by a 4–3 (2OT) victory at then-No. 7 Hamilton.
- Contributed two goals and a shootout conversion in the win over Hamilton.
- Named NESCAC Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week
Daniella Maresca, Kean University, Sophomore, Goalkeeper (Mamaroneck, NY)
- Registered 11 saves across two shutout wins for the Cougars.
- Made key stops in a key 1-0 conference win over Montclair State and an eight-save outing vs Ramapo.
- Named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division III Honorable Mention
Offensive: Caitlin Hoover, Franklin & Marshall, Junior, Forward (Blue Bell, PA)
- Registered four goals and one assist to lead Franklin & Marshall to wins over Ursinus and then-No. 13 Dickinson, scoring both game-winners.
- Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Defensive: Alyssa Schlossman, DeSales University, Junior, Goalkeeper (Stroudsburg, PA)
- Stopped 20 shots while allowing just two goals, including a 20-save performance vs then-No. 12 Stevens and a shared shutout vs King’s College.
- Named MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week.
