Hainsworth, Hughes named NFHCA Division III National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Senior goalkeeper from No. 2 Rowan University, Abby Hainsworth, and senior forward/midfielder from Skidmore College, Carrie Hughes, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division III Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.

Abby Hainsworth, No. 2 Rowan University, Sr., Goalkeeper (Williamstown, New Jersey)
- Made a career-high 10 saves to lead Rowan to a 2-1 victory over then-No. 2 Johns Hopkins University
- Faced nine shots on goal and preserved a 2-1 overtime win vs Swarthmore College
- Owns a 0.98 goals against average this season
- Named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Carrie Hughes, Skidmore College, Sr., Forward/Midfielder (Kansas City, Missouri)
- Tallied four goals and an assist during the week
- Scored her second hat trick of the season in a decisive 7-0 victory vs Nazareth College
- Scored the game-winning goal and assisted on another in the 3-2 comeback overtime victory vs SUNY Geneseo
- Leads the Liberty League in goals, goals per game, shots, shots per game, and points
- Named Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week
