Coaches Polls

Division I — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 20 teams in the nation each week. Each Division I conference is permitted one vote for the ranking each week. Designated conference voters must be head or associate head member coaches and are appointed.*

Division II — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 10 teams in the nation each week. Each Division II conference is permitted two votes for the ranking each week. Designated conference voters must be head or associate head member coaches and are appointed.*

Division III — The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll is a composite ranking of the top 25 teams in the nation each week. Each Division III conference is permitted one vote for the ranking each week. Designated conference voters must be head or associate head member coaches and are appointed.*

*The format and guidelines of the NFHCA Collegiate Coaches Polls is designed and voted on by the NFHCA membership and approved by the NFHCA Board of Directors.

NFHCA Award Archive

The NFHCA Awards Archive includes a collection of past awards and coaches polls. Awards are divided into separate documents by division, then further by award.

Plays of the Week

The NFHCA Plays of the Week aims to spotlight and celebrate outstanding performance and plays at all levels of the game. Through video clip submissions during each fall field hockey season, the Plays of the Week highlight the best submitted clips from the prior week of play. A highlight of the top video clips submitted are shared on Tuesday evenings weekly via the NFHCA’s social media channels, beginning the first week of September and concluding in early to mid-November, annually.

All submissions are due by 6:00 p.m. ET on Mondays for the previous week’s games.  How to submit – Post on your public Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter (X) account using hashtag #NFHCAPlay and tag us @NFHCA. Private social accounts cannot be accessed – so make sure the account you are posting from is public!  Be sure to use the above hashtag and tag the NFHCA.  NFHCA members and sports information officers may also submit their Play of the Week video clips through the Dropbox link shared with members and Sports Information Directors in August annually.  Learn more here and email cate.clark@nfhca.org with questions.

Player of the Week Awards

Student-athletes are nominated each week of the field hockey season by their collegiate conference; each conference can nominate one student-athlete for Offensive Player of the Week and one student-athlete Defensive Player of the Week for their performance from Monday to Sunday of the previous week.

The nomination form opens on Sunday evenings and closes at 11:00 a.m. (EST) the following Tuesday. Awards are announced every Wednesday during the field hockey playing season.

NFHCA Victory Club

The NFHCA Victory Club honors coaches who have reached career milestones.

To be nominated for the NFHCA Victory Club, a coach must have reached a career victory milestone during the current season. Coaches may be nominated at 200 wins and one-hundred win intervals thereafter (e.g. 300, 400, 500, etc.).

The NFHCA is committed to showcasing the stories that reflect the impact, leadership, and growth of our coaching community while celebrating those who continue to move the game forward. We invite submissions that highlight meaningful accomplishments, including Hall of Fame honors, committee service, community engagement, major awards, and personal coaching journeys. We also welcome authentic moments through photos or video that capture the essence of coaching, whether it is a powerful huddle message, a teaching moment, or a sideline reaction or celebration that brings the game to life.

If you have a story, achievement, or moment worth amplifying, we encourage you to share it with us. Content can be submitted by emailing communications@nfhca.org or by tagging @NFHCA on social media for consideration.
