NFHCA Student-Athlete Awards
The NFHCA is proud to honor on and off the field successes of our member coaches and their student-athletes through our awards and recognition programs. Coaches with active NFHCA memberships can submit nominations for awards and recognition and are notified when the nomination periods open. The NFHCA is proud to acknowledge that our member coaches are developing their student-athletes to become recognizable leaders on and off the field.
Watchlist
The NFHCA Watchlist represents top collegiate and high school student-athletes who are early contenders for this year’s NFHCA All-American teams.

All-Region
All-Region teams are made up of student-athletes that represent the highest level of field hockey players in their region with regard to the nominating criteria. A region’s team size is contingent on the number of institutions (collegiate) or NFHCA members (high school) within their region.

All-American teams are made up of student-athletes that represent the highest level of field hockey players with regard to the nominating criteria.

Regional Player of the Year
Regional Player of the Year honors are awarded to the student-athlete who is ranked at the top of their region by the All-Region selection committee.

National Player of the Year
This award is presented to the top field hockey athlete at each collegiate level.

Senior Team
A select group of senior collegiate senior student-athletes are recognized for their outstanding performances on the field.

Impact Senior Team
The High School Impact Senior Team recognizes outstanding high school seniors for their leadership on and off the field. High school seniors must meet pre-established academic and athletic criteria to receive the award.

Player of the Month
The Player of the Month program honors top-performers throughout the year. Players are nominated by their own NFHCA-member coaches and the honorees are selected by a voting panel comprised of NFHCA representatives.

Player of the Week
The Player of the Week program honors an offensive and defensive player of the week in each division throughout the season. Student-athletes are nominated by their collegiate conference.

National Scholar-Athlete
This award is presented to the All-American undergraduate student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average through the fall semester of the current academic year.

Scholars of Distinction
This program recognizes undergraduate student-athletes and scholastic junior and senior student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.

National Academic Squad
This program honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes and scholastic junior and senior student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.

National Academic Team Award
The National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
