Plumb named 2022 NFHCA Division I National Scholar-Athlete

GENEVA, N.Y. — Aimee Plumb from the University of Louisville, has been named this year’s NFHCA Division I National Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year.
The NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete honor is presented annually to the Division I All-American who earns the highest cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the current academic year.
The forward from Canterbury, Kent, England picked up her second-straight NFHCA All-American honor after leading Louisville in scoring with a career-best eight goals, seven assists and 23 points. Five of her eight goals stood as game winners, ranking third in the ACC in that category. Plumb is also a two-time NFHCA All-West Region and All-ACC selection. Plumb, a psychology major and art and Spanish minor, has maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. Plumb is a three-time NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad Member, All-ACC Academic Team selection, and a five-time Dean’s Scholar at Louisville. Plumb was named the 2022 ACC Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Plumb becomes the third straight Louisville student-athlete to earn the NFHCA National Scholar Athlete award. She also earned the honor in 2021 and Meghan Schneider received the award in 2020.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
