MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Following the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) elections, the NFHCA Executive Director and Nominating Committee Chair have confirmed the reelection Carolyn King-Robitaille (President), Head Coach at Saint Anselm College, Jessica Spencer (DII Representative), Head Coach at Bentley University, and Janelle Benner (Division III Representative), Head Coach at Ursinus College, to second terms on the NFHCA Board of Directors.

Additionally, Georgia Holland, Associate Head Coach at Northwestern University, who recently completed a one-year term as the Division I Representative, has been elected as Vice President of Finances. She succeeds Cheryl Murtagh, who concluded her second term in the role. Under Murtagh’s tenure, the association saw significant milestones, including the adoption of new Bylaws, the development of a comprehensive strategic plan, the appointment of new executive leadership, the introduction of a Giving program, and the launch of initiatives like Campfire Mentoring and the Aspire Coaches Academy.

With Holland transitioning to VP of Finances, a vacancy now exists for the Division I Representative. Per the NFHCA Bylaws, “the Nominating Committee shall present a candidate to fill the vacancy for the balance of the term, which the Board of Directors shall vote to approve.”

King-Robitaille, who recently led Saint Anselm to its first-ever Division II National Championship, is eager to continue her tenure as NFHCA president.

“I am incredibly grateful and humbled to serve a second term as the President of the NFHCA. It has been a privilege to collaborate and learn from our Executive Director Cate, the NFHCA staff, and the Board of Directors during my first term and I look forward to three more years of serving this incredible membership and doing my part to help our sport and our coaches thrive,” said King-Robitaille.

Meanwhile, Holland is looking forward to her new responsibilities.

“I am excited to take on a new role within the NFHCA Board as VP of Finance. Although I enjoyed my year as DI Representative, I look forward to this new position and the challenges that come with it. I hope to remain an asset to my fellow DI coaches, while also expanding my impact by overseeing the finances of this wonderful association,” Holland remarked.
