Yeager, Moors named NFHCA Division I National Players of the Week

MANAHAWKIN, NJ  — Beth Yeager, a junior midfielder from No. 13 Princeton University, and Anna Moors, a sophomore defender from Monmouth University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division I Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Ava Borkowski, a graduate forward from Villanova University, also received an honorable mention nod for Offensive Player of the Week.

NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week

Anna Moors, Monmouth University, So., Defender (Tilburg, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands)

  • Named CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
  • Tallied her first career hat trick in a 6-1 victory over LIU.
  • Led the shutdown of the Sharks, allowing just three LIU shot attempts to Monmouth’s 28.

NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week

Beth Yeager, No. 13 Princeton University, Jr., Midfielder (Greenwich, Connecticut)

  • Named Ivy Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Scored both goals in Princeton’s 2-1 win over then-No. 6 Maryland, and then netted three of five goals in the Tigers’ 5-1 win over Dartmouth.
  • Leads the Ivy league in goals (14) and points (37).

NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention

 

Ava Borkowski, Villanova University, Gr., Forward (Conshohocken, Pennsylvania)

  • Named Big East Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Registered a hat trick in a 3-0 win over then-No. 19 Temple, and then tacked on another goal in a 4-3 victory over Fairfield.
