NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week
Brooke Billhimer, No. 5 Christopher Newport University, Sr., Defender (Gloucester, Virginia)
- Named Coast-to-Coast Defensive Player of the Week.
- Tallied a pair of defensive saves while anchoring the back line during a 2-0 win at Catholic.
- Earned her 10th-career defensive save while extending her “Iron Man” streak to 968 consecutive minutes of action dating back to last year.
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Sydney Gonyea, Simmons University, Sr., Forward (Lebanon, New Hampshire)
- Named GNAC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Collected 14 total points in a 2-0 week for Simmons.
- Chipped in a goal and added two assists in a 5-0 victory over Lasell.
- Netted a career single-game high five goals while reaching the 200th career point mark in a 14-0 victory over Elms.
NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention
Rachel Tama, No. 18 SUNY New Paltz, Jr., Forward (Hopewell Junction, New York)
- Led the Hawks with five goals and two assists for 12 points on the week in back-to-back wins.
- Posted a goal and an assist against Fairleigh Dickinson before registering four goals and an assist in an 8-0 win over SUNY Oswego.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
