McFarland, Peeters named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

MANAHAWKIN, NJ  — Senior forward from No. 4 Bloomsburg University Aydan McFarland, and Emma Peeters, junior goalkeeper from No. 7 Southern New Hampshire University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Emma Peeters, No. 7 Southern New Hampshire, Jr., Goalkeeper (Wageningen, Netherlands)

  • NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week.
  • Recorded 12 saves, including eight in the second quarter, as SNHU blanked then-No.3 Assumption University.
  • The shutout was her seventh of her career with SNHU.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

 

Aydan McFarland, No. 4 Bloomsburg University, Sr., Forward (Bloomsburg, PA)

  • Named PSAC Co- Athlete of the Week.
  • Leads the nation in goals (15), goals per game (1.67), points (35), points per game (3.89) while being tied for second in assists (5).
  • Matched her career-high for points in a game with eight (three goals, two assists) in Bloomsburg’s 7-1 victory over New Haven. Netted her third hat trick of the season in a 4-0 victory over Roberts Wesleyan. She then registered two goals and an assist in a 7-0 win against D’Youville.
