Zimmer, Keeler, and Biccard tabbed as NFHCA 2025 National Players of the Year
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Northwestern University’s Maddie Zimmer, Newberry College’s Parker Keeler, and Tufts University’s Hannah Biccard have been honored as the National Player of the Year in their respective divisions for their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.
Their collective impact extends beyond individual accolades, underscoring their leadership and excellence on the field. The NFHCA National Player of the Year announcement marks the culmination of a distinguished postseason awards cycle. Looking ahead, the NFHCA will shift its focus to coach awards and academic honors, set to be announced in January and February, respectively.
Division I
Maddie Zimmer, Northwestern University, Graduate Student, Midfielder (Hershey, PA)
- Earned NFHCA All-American recognition and NFHCA All-Region West, First Team honors for the fifth time
- Selected as Big Ten Player of the Year for the second time and a five-time All-Big Ten First Team honoree
- Powered Northwestern to a 22-1 season and the 2025 NCAA National Championship title
- Recorded three assists in the Wildcats’ NCAA semifinal overtime win and assisted on the overtime game-winner in the national championship game
- Named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and recognized as the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player for the third time
- Earned NFHCA Regional (West) Player of the Year and Division I National Player of the Year for the second consecutive season
Division II
Parker Keeler, Newberry College, Junior, Forward (Bridgeville, DE)
- Earned NFHCA All-American First Team honors, Atlantic Regional Player of the Year recognition, and All-Region Atlantic, First Team distinction
- Voted South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Offensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-SAC selection
- Led Division II in total points and assists while ranking third nationally in goals scored
- Recorded at least one point in 15 of 18 games, including eight multi-point performances
- Powered Newberry to lead Division II in scoring offense, fueling the Wolves’ run to the SAC title and National Championship game
Division III
Hannah Biccard, Tufts University, Senior, Forward (Cape Town, South Africa)
- Earned NFHCA All-American First Team honors, Region II Player of the Year recognition, and All-Region II, First Team distinction
- Selected to the NFHCA Senior Team
- Earned First-Team All-NESCAC honors while leading the conference in goals scored
- Recorded four goals and three assists during postseason play, including the overtime game-winner in the National Championship game, as Tufts captured its first NCAA title since 2012
- Named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and recognized as the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player
