Taylor Mitchell named NFHCA Club Player of the Month

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO —The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has names Southern Maryland Eliminators midfielder and 2029 graduate Taylor Mitchell as the NFHCA Club Player of the Month following a standout January across U16 and U19 indoor competition. The NFHCA Player of the Month is sponsored by Wrappit Wrappit.

Mitchell served as the offensive engine and tactical leader for both squads in January, helping guide the teams to a combined 14 wins, 2 ties, and 0 losses across 16 matches. Across all January competition, Mitchell totaled 35 goals, 23 assists, and one defensive save.

Performance peaked during the National Indoor Tournament Qualification series, where both age groups finished unbeaten in pool play to secure automatic bids to the National Indoor Tournament. Additional highlights included leading the U16 squad to a first-place finish and closing the month by powering the U19 team to a perfect pool record at the Freedom Winter Series.
