Sluymer, Tripodo named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week
BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Freshman goalkeeper, Lindsay Tripolo, and senior forward, Jenna Sluymer, both from No. 1 Shippensburg University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Lindsay Tripolo, No. 1 Shippensburg University, Fr., Goalkeeper (Gibbsboro, New Jersey)
- Registered six saves and two wins — including one shutout — this week for No. 1 Shippensburg
- Recorded two important saves in a 4-0 shutout of No 2. West Chester University
- Had four more saves, including one in the final minute of regulation to force overtime, against No. 6 Kutztown University
- Defensive performance led to a 2-0 week for the Raiders, keeping them undefeated
- Named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Jenna Sluymer, No. 1 Shippensburg University, Sr., Forward (Nieuw-Vennep, The Netherlands)
- Scored twice in both of Ship’s ranked wins against No. 2 West Chester and No. 6 Kutztown this week
- Recorded the game-winning goal in both games
- Has recorded the game-winning goal in all of Shippensburg’s last four victories
- Has scored a goal in seven consecutive games for the Raiders
- Named PSAC Field Hockey Athlete of the Week
- This is Sluymer’s second-consecutive NFHCA National Offensive Player of the Week honor

- Named Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
