The NFHCA provides a variety of educational opportunities for NFHCA members and the greater field hockey community.
Campfire Mentoring Program
The NFHCA Campfire Mentoring Program brings coaches together to share experiences, foster fellowship, and promote growth. Small groups of four to seven coach members are assembled with a lead mentor in May and participate in a structured mentoring program for a full-calendar year.
The NFHCA’s Drill Library includes over 60 field hockey drills and three drill booklets for purchase (free for members). Drills are added every week during the playing season through the Drill of the Week program. Available drills cover a variety of topics and levels.
The NFHCA provides free field hockey pitch templates for anyone to download and print as a way to make creating your own drills, whether you’re a coach or an athlete, as easy as possible!
New Coach Toolkit
This resource is for brand-new coaches with basic or nonexistent experience in field hockey. The New Coach Toolkit contains curated videos, articles, and resources to help you get to know our great game!
Find links to playing rules for all levels of the game.
The NFHCA is here to help you find your field hockey home — we provide a variety of resources for everyone navigating the collegiate recruiting process on our Recruiting page.
STAND Up to Harassment
The STAND Up to Harassment resource — created by the NFHCA DEI Committee — provides a step-by-step guide to help coaches thoughtfully intervene when harassment is observed or reported during team activities.
NFHCA Annual Convention
The Annual Convention is the year’s premier event where members of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) gather to discuss, connect, and learn. The event is, by and large, a professional development event where coaches discuss business as it relates to the NFHCA and by extension the sport of field hockey in the United States. The three-day event is highlighted by educational sessions, on-field clinics, and our Awards Dinner.
NFHCA Ready2Coach Clinics provide field hockey coaching education, professional development, and networking opportunities for coaches at all levels.
