Jedeloo, Karstens named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week
GENEVA, N.Y. — First-year goalkeeper from Adelphi University, Mirthe Karstens, and sophomore forward from No. 3 Shippensburg University, Tess Jedeloo, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

- Tallied 29 saves during the week against two nationally ranked opponents
- Made 18 saves against No. 1 West Chester University
- Made 11 saves against No. 5 Kutztown University
- Averaged 14.5 saves per game and owned a .829 save percentage
- Named NE10 Player of the Week, Goalkeeper of the Week, and Rookie of the Week
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Tess Jedeloo, No. 3 Shippensburg University, So., Forward (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
- Tallied five goals in a 3-0 week for the Raiders
- Scored two goals, including the game-winning goal in the 4-3 overtime victory vs Mansfield University
- Scored the game-tying goal to send the game to overtime and buried her shootout attempt in the 2-1 shootout victory vs Belmont Abbey College
- Scored two goals in the 9-0 victory vs Limestone University
- Leads the PSAC in game-winning goals and tied for first in goals scored
- Named PSAC Athlete of the Week
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
