Garibaldi, Beauparlant named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

MANAHAWKIN, NJ  — Agus Garibaldi, a junior forward from No. 1 Shippensburg University, and Callie Beauparlant, a senior midfielder from No. 6 Assumption University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Callie Beauparlant, No. 6 Assumption University, Jr., Midfielder (Newburyport, Massachusetts)

  • Named NE10 Defensive Player of the Week.
  • Shut down Division II leading scorer, Annemartine Christis, allowing her only one shot in a 1-0 victory over then-No. 4 Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).
  • The win over SNHU propelled Assumption to sole possession of first place with a 12-0 record in the NE10.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

 

Agus Garibaldi, No. 1 Shippensburg University, Jr., Forward (Recoleta, Argentina)

  • Named PSAC Offensive Athlete of the Week.
  • Tallied six points on two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Red Raiders.
  • Contributed to all three goals in a comeback 3-2 win over then-No. 3 East Stroudsburg, including the game-winner with less than 10 seconds on the clock.
