NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase 2026: Where the Next Generation Takes the Field

May 1, 2025 | 2024-2025, Club, News

Manahawkin, NJ - Mark your calendars — the NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase™️(WES) is back January 16–18, 2026, at the Boombah Sports Complex in Sanford, Florida. Widely regarded as one of the top recruiting events in the country, WES is hosted by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and operated by Performance Sports Events (PSE), bringing together top talent and college coaches from every level of the game.

Held immediately following the 2026 NFHCA Annual Convention, the Winter Escape Showcase™️offers a holistic recruiting experience that goes beyond the standard tournament format. Athletes will compete in five guaranteed games across three days — two games on Friday and Saturday, and one on Sunday (all games concluding by 3:00 p.m.) while also gaining access to exclusive skills clinics, educational sessions, and position-specific opportunities to be evaluated by college coaches.

Special events during the weekend include the Uncommitted Showcase, designed for players looking to stand out in front of college coaches on the sidelines, and Ready2Play clinics, where athletes sharpen their skills directly with Division I, II, and III coaches. Additional highlights include the Shooter Showcase, Shot Stopper Clinic, and a Recruiting Seminar that help athletes and families better navigate the college recruitment process.
On average, WES attracts between 225–250 college coaches annually, providing unmatched access and visibility for aspiring student-athletes. With only 108 team slots available and a limit of two teams per club, demand is expected to exceed capacity. Registration opens July 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. ET and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whether you’re a club coach in search of competition, a prospective student-athlete ready to be seen, or a college coach seeking top talent, the 2026 NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase™️is a can’t-miss event that brings the entire field hockey community together.
