Bush, Albee NFHCA DII Field Hockey Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Genna Bush, a junior forward from Bloomsburg University, and Emma Albee, a graduate student goalkeeper from Shippensburg University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Lana Mignon De Wet, a junior midfielder/defender from Adelphi University and Jojo Cox, a junior goalkeeper from Maryville University, also received honorable mention nods for Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Genna Bush, Bloomsburg University, Junior, Forward (Boiling Springs, PA)
- Scored five goals in two wins, powering Bloomsburg to a perfect week.
- Leads Division II in goals per game.
- Recorded first career hat trick against Mercy.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Emma Albee, Shippensburg University, Graduate Student, Goalkeeper (Basking Ridge, NJ)
- Totaled 20 saves across three games while recording 17th and 18th career shutouts.
- Produced a 10-save effort in a double-overtime win over then No. 7 West Chester, with eight of those stops coming in the second half to secure the victory.
- Added six saves in a shutout of Assumption and four more in a shutout of Saint Anselm to cap a dominant week in goal.
NFHCA Division I Honorable Mention
Offensive: Lana Mignon De Wet, Adelphi University, Junior, Midfielder/Defender (Pretoria, South Africa)
- Tallied four goals over two games, including two in a 6-0 win over Molloy and two more against No. 3 East Stroudsburg.
Defensive: Jojo Cox, Maryville University, Junior, Goalkeeper (Louisville, KY)
- Recorded a career-high 17 saves in a 3-1 win over Pace, highlighted by a double stop that earned a Play of the Week nomination.
- Backstopped a 3-1 win over Molloy with two saves, including a crucial penalty stroke stop.
