2025 NFHCA Division III Regional Players of the Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is excited to announce the six student-athletes who have been selected to represent their respective regions as the NFHCA Division III Regional Player of the Year. Each regional award winner is now in the running for NFHCA Division III National Player of the Year honors.

Region I

Caroline DiGiovanni, Babson College, Senior, Forward (Harwich, MA)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region I, First Team, marking a second career First-Team honor
  • Selected to the NFHCA Senior Team
  • Honored as the NEWMAC Player of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference honoree for the second time
  • Ranked among Division III’s top goal scorers with 25 goals, including eight game-winning tallies, and scored in 17 of 24 games
  • Led Babson to a 22-2 record, the NEWMAC Championship, and a berth in the NCAA national semifinals

Region II

Hannah Biccard, Tufts University, Senior, Forward (Cape Town, South Africa)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region II, First Team
  • Selected to the NFHCA Senior Team
  • Earned First-Team All-NESCAC honors while leading the conference in goals scored
  • Recorded four goals and three assists in postseason play, including the overtime game-winner in the National Championship game, as Tufts captured its first NCAA title since 2012
  • Recognized as the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player

Region III

Marli McDorman, Salisbury University, Junior, Midfielder (Pocomoke City, MD)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region III, First Team, marking a third career selection
  • Recognized as the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference honoree
  • Recorded 18 goals and 14 assists to lead Salisbury’s offense
  • Earned SUNYAC Tournament Most Valuable Player honors
  • Guided the Sea Gulls to a 19-3 record, the SUNYAC Championship, and an appearance in the NCAA quarterfinals

Region IV

Lauren Flynn, Stevens Institute of Technology, Junior, Defender (Hillsborough, NJ)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region IV, First Team
  • Selected as the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference honoree for the second time
  • Recorded eight goals, 11 assists, and four defensive saves, contributing on both attacking and defensive penalty corners
  • Earned three MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week awards during the 2025 season
  • Anchored a Stevens defense that propelled the Ducks to an 18-3 record, a third straight MAC Freedom title, and an NCAA Tournament berth

Region V

Jenna Halpin, Johns Hopkins University, Graduate Student, Midfielder (Locust Valley, NY)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region V, First Team, marking a second career First-Team honor
  • Selected to the NFHCA Senior Team
  • Honored as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference selection for the second time
  • Led the Centennial Conference in assists, while contributing five goals, and directing the Blue Jays’ defense
  • Helped Johns Hopkins to a 22-2 record, the Centennial Championship, and a berth in the NCAA National Championship game

Region VI

Courtney Hughlett, Christopher Newport University, Junior, Defender (Charlottesville, VA)

  • Named to the NFHCA All-Region VI, First Team, marking a second career selection
  • Ranked fifth nationally in total assists and tied for seventh in assists per game
  • Finished the 2025 season with six goals and 15 assists, serving as a consistent offensive catalyst for the Captains
  • Led CNU to a 19-1 record and an appearance in the NCAA semifinals
  • Selected to the NCAA All-Tournament Team
The NFHCA Division III Regional Player of the Year announcement is the second in a list of postseason awards from the NFHCA. Last week the 2025 NFHCA Division III All-Region teams were announced. The Division III NFHCA All-American teams will be announced on December 16 and the NFHCA Division III National Player of the Year on December 18.
