Eyre, Herkalo named NFHCA October High School Players of the Month

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Brinkley Eyre, a 2025 midfielder from Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Maryland, and Zoe Herkalo, a 2026 goalkeeper from the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, Maryland, were named the October NFHCA High School Players of the Month, sponsored by Victory Sports Tours.

Eyre propelled her team to a flawless 11-0 record in October, netting 44 goals, providing 14 assists, and even making a defensive save. Her performance was nothing short of dominant, accounting for more than half of her team’s total goals while setting new records for Glenelg High School and Howard County. On October 29, she reached a milestone with her 51st goal of the season, marking a season high for the program and county. As team captain, she was the foundation of her team’s success, constantly displaying exceptional skill, leadership, and precision.

Herkalo, meanwhile, anchored her team’s defense with an impressive 52 saves over eight contests, allowing just three goals and maintaining an outstanding .945 save percentage. With five shutouts to her name, she was instrumental in her team’s perfect 8-0 record for the month. Her leadership and poise in goal were pivotal during a crucial semifinal shootout, where her performance helped fuel the team to the conference championship.
