Rose, Ford named NFHCA Division I National Players of the Week
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Hope Rose, a senior midfielder from No. 5 University of Maryland, and Daisy Ford, a junior goalkeeper from Stanford University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division I Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Alizé Maes, a senior defender from Temple University, and Yip van Wonderen, a senior defender from No. 19 Indiana University, also received honorable mention nods for Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week
Daisy Ford, Stanford University, Jr., Goalkeeper (Harleston, England)
- Named ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
- Notched nine saves to lead Stanford to a 3-1 victory over California, helping Stanford clinch a berth to the 2024 ACC Field Hockey Championship.
- Leads the conference in saves per game (5.56) and ranks third in save percentage (.781).
NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week
Hope Rose, No. 5 University of Maryland, Sr., Midfielder (Dauphin, Pennsylavnia)
- Named B1G Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
- Netted two goals and added an assist in a 4-2 road win over then-No. 17 Penn State.
- Extended her scoring streak to four games, and leads the Terrapins with 11 goals.
NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention
Yip van Wonderen, Indiana University, Sr., Defender (Heemstede, Netherlands)
- Named B1G Defensive Player of the Week.
- Netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Michigan State, 1-0, propelling the Hoosiers to the B1G Tournament for the first time since 2021.
NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention
Alizé Maes, Temple University, Sr., Defender (Vremde, Antwerp, Belgium)
- Big East Offensive Player of the Week.
- Scored three of the four goals for the Owls in a 2-0 week where they secured the No. 2 seed in the Big East Tournament as well as their first undefeated season at home since 1981.
